The Representative Payee organization will manage the fiscal affairs of clients who do not have the informal supports to assist them in their fiscal management. The service provider is responsible, along with an Area Agency on Aging care manager, for client income such as Social Security, Black Lung, Railroad Retirement, Pensions, etc.,, and monthly expenses. The service provider must retain good records and complete reports as required by Social Security and/or other benefits providers.
