Community Programs

Foster Grandparents - Employment opportunity for limited income men and women 55 or older who wish to work five days a week with children with special needs in the public schools Head Start program and non profit day care centers. The foster grandparent program is currently in need of recruiting several new members.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) - Persons 55 and older volunteer their time and talents working in a wide variety of community settings: schools, libraries, nursing homes, hospitals, etc.

Employment Services - The Agency offers several programs for men and women age 55 or older who are seeking either subsidized / unsubsidized, full or part-time positions. Included are the Senior Community Service Employment Programs, Workforce Investment Act and the Employment Assistance Program.

Senior Center Services - Provides a variety of social-recreational programs such as: information and referral, consumer education, health screening, noontime hot meals, cultural activities, travel, recreation, volunteer services, nutrition education, physical fitness, computer training and health awareness programs.
